The boulder with the plaque attached to it, commemorate the hundredth anniversary of Sokolow Volunteer Fire Department, located at Wolnosci Street. Sokolow Fire Department, founded in 1881, is one of the oldest in the Podlasie region. Many of its members earned in the battles for independence.
